This is What I Think of
I read this story today from the BBC about the Gitmo prisoners who are engaged in a hunger strike. I've never quite gotten this tactic.
Dozens of detainees have joined a hunger strike at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp, bringing the number refusing food to 128, US officials say.Eighteen prisoners have been hospitalised, including 13 who are being tube-fed.
Lawyers for the detainees say they are demanding release or immediate trial.
Does this make sense to anyone? People who want to kill themselves and take thousands of innocents with them are offering to deep-six themselves at NO COST to us. I say we accept this offer.
Thanks to Wyatt Earp for inspiring the thought by posting the image.
Harvey of the Alliance is looking for other reasons for the ongoing hunger strike.
